salzundhonig (saltandhoney) was founded in 2006. The name came intuitively: two tastes and elements as the base of my work. In form and function. In designing and being. Honey — from flowers, collected from the bees, converted into gold — together with salt, the mineral element of the earth.
This combination is not only perceivable in visuals – you can also eat it: the bread of the future – the saltandhoney bread! A special art of baking, without yeast or sourdough. A bread with a unique taste comes out of the oven, made from grains of any type, water, honey, salt and vegetable oil, via the fermentation of honey and salt.

Under SALZUNDHONIG (saltandhoney) I work as an independent art director in cultural contexts and bee communities.
This involves the development of visual concepts and info graphics, multimedia design, editorial and layout, and related thematic workshops.
Illustration and collage are my specialities and the fusion of aesthetics and vivacity.
Essentially, I see my work as the design and translation of content into visual communication. Ideally both parties engage in the working process in a creative ping pong scenario.
In addition, I am an ecological beekeeper pursuing diverse and unconventional strategies to promote environmental campaigns in the form of illustrations, performances, happenings and demonstrations.
In the programm SUMM — BieneKunstKultur (BeeArtCulture) I offer further education for children and youngsters. My work also involves the Mellifera Berlin committee, including initiatives for #BeeHumanNature.
