MS Wissenschaft

Exhibition Design & Illustration

In the team “Interactive exhibits” from Triad Berlin, I developed and designed for this exhibition ship the visual identity: the guidance system, the collages on the wall and islands of exhibits, framing the different subject areas.

Launched by the Wissenschaft im Dialog (Science in Dialogue) initiative, the floating Science Center “MS Wissenschaft” (MS Science) toured Germany and Austria in 2011. Over a period of four-and-a-half months, the interactive exhibition about health research that was developed by TRIAD Berlin could be experienced on a converted inland cargo vessel.
The 600-sqm exhibition on board the MS Wissenschaft featured numerous exhibits that shed light on processes within our body and provided information on new developments for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions. In five thematic sections, hands-on exhibits allowed visitors, e.g., to visualize their own heartbeat or to take a peek into the human brain. The exhibition was geared particularly towards children and youths aged 12 years or older.
Bringing science to people, the MS Wissenschaft became a highlight of the Year of Science program. In 2011, some 72,000 people – among them 420 school classes – visited the “Neue Wege in der Medizin” (New Paths in Medicine) exhibition.
